A NINE YEAR OLD BOY CHANTING AZAN

From the outside of Surau Perkampungan Orang Asli Kuala Mu, Ipoh Perak a melodious voice can be heard chanting the Azan.

Hardy, only 9 proved that with effort and help from teachers, he can master religious knowledge and bravely chanting Azan, a prayer call for Muslims.

Hardy and his friends attended Kelas Iqra Al Husna by Yayasan Ikhlas for free. They greatly appreciate the effort to revive the atmosphere of Islamic life in the Orang Asli community.

Day by day more parents are bringing their children to study Iqra where the modules prepared by  Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Sungai Siput. 

Changes can be seen when children become interested in learning and parents become aware of the importance of basic Islamic knowledge.

Our  hope to see these children have the opportunity learning the basics of Islam such as completing prayers and reading the Quran before they are 15 years old.
